Hello! I just wanted to share with you that I’m learning to ride a bike! Since next year I will be living in Europe for a year I need to learn. So here are some pics of my boyfriend trying to teach me. Now my legs are full of bruises… but this Sunday I will go again and see how it goes…

War is over... if you want to

Good afternoon! I know I’ve been absent from the blogosphere for more than I can remember, but if you could only see the condition of my stupid and beautiful city you would understand, apparently we are officially at war. I truly believe that we’re somebody’s joke, I mean first the hurricane, then this, I mean yeah this violence and shootings everywhere have been on and off for the last 4 years but during this year it’s been crazy! I mean there been over a 100 deaths of innocents, meaning no soldiers, no drug dealers, just regular people (Just in my city not all of Mexico). Can you imagine? I actually almost got killed a week ago while I was going home after a bachelorette party, I almost drove myself into a shooting, and I had never ever seen that much chaos. And well that’s why I haven’t been here that much. But not everything has been bad news…


On the last weekend of July I went to a pretty cool concert which was to collect food, clothes and supplies for the people who lost everything in the hurricane, my favorite band played. It was awesome Jumbo is my favorite band since 1999 that means since they released their first album, the best thing is that they are from my city so I went to see them and the other 20 bands that played that night, it was awesome!

And when I say they live here I mean you can find them on the street, I actually saw the guitarist walking on the street like 2 weeks ago! And he actually knows my name, and I’m beginning to think that I stalk him unconsciously or something.

And in other news in 38 days I will leave of this God’s forsaken land for a 9 days holiday to Orlando, Florida! And I’m super excited about it!

Friends will be Friends

Hello! :-)

My weekend was plain fine, well on Saturday was great I got to see my girlfriends from college, we went to starbucks to do some serious gossiping, and it was fun! But I just feel how we all are growing up. Our talks aren’t about math class anymore, they’re about our crappy jobs, or how does it feel to be almost 30 (them, not me!) Or the sudden urge of some to find Mr. Right. I’m the youngest of the gals, I’m 21, another is 24 and the other 2 they’re 29… but we’ve always been great friends.

We were all just drinking coffee, discussing the last creeps they’ve dated, our lack of sexual life, and between jokes, I just felt their desires of being in a serious relationship, Ok I have a boyfriend, but even when I’m single I never have that feeling… And all of the sudden I felt the gap between our ages.

First my best friend from high school gets married like 3 weeks ago! Now after almost a year without seeing my college girls, I feel how our talks are different, and how everybody is getting engaged, this is the year that I’ve been to most weddings in my life… and suddenly I get nervous and just think… how much I fucking hate compromise! I mean I love my boyfriend we have fun together, but I don’t want to marry him, or any other person… oh stupid Mexican culture! People over here get married so young!

Good morning!! Well I’m finally at work after a two hours bus ride, really really THANK YOU HURRICANE ALEX FOR DESTROYING MY CITY!! I used to make a 1 hour bus ride but now, oh crap 2 hours!!!

Yesterday I was making serious thinking about quitting my job next year, and I think I’m gonna do it! If I could I’ll do it right away but I have already planned my vacations for October, so I really can’t quit right now, but I’m already on a job research just to check how are things out there in the unemployed world.

Anyways I woke up hearing this song and it got me in a great mood so I hope this works for you guys too!!!

Happiness is a warm gun!

Good morning! Today I finally saw the sun, after over a week without seeing it. It was such a beautiful thing…

Well I’m so happy it’s finally Friday! Even though tomorrow I have to come to work…

Anyways since it’s the second post in my new blog I think I should introduce myself.

My name is Sil, I’m a recently graduated Mexican.



I work in a travel agency, which is really depressing since everyday I sell trips instead of doing the trips myself.

My favorite color is green. I love drinking coffee and tea, especially on a rainy day.



I’m epileptic. I love to cook; actually I have 2 frustrated dreams, to be a chef and to be a personal stylist. I hope that someday I’ll be able to fulfill them.

I hate wearing jeans, for some reason I hate denim, I have a very large amount of clothing and only 3 pairs of jeans, which I’ve been using on a daily basis this whole last week because my city was nearly destroyed by hurricane Alex, and I can’t wear my nice pants or skirts, and I’m totally hating it.

Anywhere but here

Hello! I'm not sure if there's anyone out there, if there's not it's ok, if there is "hello!". I'm Sil I've been on and off of the blogosphere, and here I am once again starting a blog.
